sailboat bowsprit design
There is a length of pre-fab carbon pole on the boat i hope to buy. i'd like to determine if it is suitable to be used as a bowsprit for an asymmetric sail of approx. My question is about bowsprit design. i have seen plans for a few, westsail, tayana, here's a bowsprit i built for my old boat, a cape dory 30.. Advice on attaching portion of salvaged windsurfer mast to hobie 18 hull as short bowsprit for below outrigger project. sprit will be used to support.
